We would like to thank over 75 people who attended the Village Tree Lighting Celebration this past Friday. Just as the celebration was getting ready to kick off Santa arrived with his Elf helper and brought the most beautiful Christmas snow. Shortly after his arrival was the arrival of the Fire Department decorated float. The community counted down to the lighting of the tree and Santa flipped the switch.

After Santa was done at the tree we went into the American Legion where John, from Books Etc, read us “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. The children loved it. We all had cookies and cocoa and every child received a gift from Santa.

SAVE THE DATE…. Friday, December 17th at 6pm is the Torchlight Parade.

Friday, December 3rd at 6pm will be the annual lighting of the Main Street Christmas Tree. This year the lighting will take place in front of the Village Hall. Look for the decorated Macedon Fire Department parade float. It is always a glowing suprise!

Our special guest this year, lighting the tree, will be Santa himself! Following the lighting of the tree we will go into the American Legion for cookies and cocoa with Santa. Santa will also have a special treat for all the children. The kids will enjoy a Christmas story as they have their cookies.

The Main Street Scarecrow Contest has begun! Starting Friday, October 8th you can stop in a Main Street business and pick up an entry ballot. This is an opportunity for you to walk around our Main Street and see all the unique scarecrows. During that time you will vote on your favorite one. The contest drawing will be held on October 30th. There will be one winning customer neame drawn for a $25 gift certificate and then the winning scarecrow will get featured in the paper. Bring your friends and family down for lots of Main Street fun!
