and enthusiasm for an amazing 2011!!  It’s also time to start cleaning out and
collecting Spring items for consignment. I will start accepting Spring the beginning
of February. While cleaning out please keep in mind that I also accept jewelry,
shoes, purses and household items. I will be looking for amazing and unique items
while I’m away on my journey. Stop in to see my “finds”. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Happy New Year 2011!

2010 was a solid year on Main Street in the Village of Macedon. We were able to participate in many wonderful events right here. 2011 is starting to take shape with planning. Merchants and the MPA are meeting to do some strategic planning for the New Year.

In the last month Lizzies Deli decided to close their doors as a retail location. We wish them well on their endeavor to focus on their catering business. We will miss them on our Main Street. In this same location will be a new restaurant coming soon! Look for it come Spring 2011. Other big news includes the sale of the empty lot in the middle of the Main Street. We are excited to start the process of another business coming in there in the future.

Main Street Macedon is a wonderful place to do business, be a customer and live. It is getting more and more pedestrian friendly. Come spring of 2011 the crosswalk signs will be out again (after the snow plows are gone) and we will also have some new signage for our downtown.

I think our largest and best accomplishment for 2010 was the new historical mural. It is so beautiful and adds that artistic element that we need here. We are looking for some more local artists who want to donate their time and talents to creating further art pieces for the downtown. If you would like to create a piece to be displayed outside on the Main Street please let us know.

Blessings to you all in this New Year of 2011!
Marcy Frey (Consulting Director of the MPA)
