Macedon Partners Association

The Macedon Partners Association, Inc. believes that through a strong and vibrant downtown commercial district come strong residential neighborhoods. The organization also supports programs that strengthen residential homes and businesses, of historical significance, in the Village of Macedon. The organization provides programs for overall revitalization to the Village of Macedon taking into consideration: building code compliance, crime, safety, and cleanliness issues are constant concerns that the Macedon Partners Association addresses on a regular basis. We are advocates working on behalf of the community

The program centers on an approach for commercial district revitalization focusing on Design, Organizational Funding, Zoning and Regulations, Historic Preservation, Community Promotions and Economic Restructuring.

• Design & Historical Preservation – Enhancing the physical appearance of the Macedon Village commercial district by rehabilitating historic and non-historic buildings, encouraging supportive new construction, developing design guidelines, improving and greening the streetscape, and long-term planning. This plan promotes improvements to streetscapes and there are many opportunities for members of the community to get involved. Included in the Design Team will be: Beautification & Arts in the Community. Beautification will focus on streetscape – flowers, signage, banners, lighting and holiday decor.
• Organizational Funding – Building consensus and cooperation among the many groups and individuals who have a role to play in the revitalization process.  Attaining the necessary resources to implement the projects.
• Community Promotion – Marketing the unique commercial district’s assets to customers, new business, local residents, and visitors, creating exciting special events throughout the community that brings families and friends together.  Arts in the community will explore ways to showcase different forms of the arts and promote them within the community (public art displays, demonstrations, theatre, musical performances, and education.
• Economic Restructuring – Strengthening the commercial district’s existing businesses while finding ways to expand through business recruitment.  The end result will meet the needs of local residents and visitors.
• Zoning and Regulations – Assist the local code enforcement officer with implementing the local laws pertaining to zoning and regulations in the direct downtown target area.
