What is the Macedon Partners Association?

In 2008, The Macedon Partners Association (MPA) was founded by a partnership of local government, business owners and residents. The purpose of the Macedon Partners Association, Inc. is to foster an economically healthy commercial district that is vibrant, walk able, clean, safe, and sustainable. This will create a sense of community and belonging amongst all of its diverse residents, businesses, and visitors.

The organization provides programs for overall revitalization to the Village of Macedon taking into consideration: building code compliance, crime, safety, and cleanliness issues which are constant concerns that the Macedon Partners Association addresses on a regular basis. We are advocates working on behalf of the community.  The long-term goals of the organization are: to strengthen the economic competitiveness of the neighborhood commercial district and to improve the quality of life in the surrounding neighborhoods. The short-term goals are: to identify mechanisms to foster economic growth, to promote stabilization of the surrounding neighborhoods, and to work with governmental offices that can have a positive impact on the area.

The Macedon Partners Association has a Consulting Director. This opportunity is made possible through partnerships and fundraising. The Consulting Director to The Macedon Partners Association, Inc. is charged with ensuring the continued revitalization of the Macedon Village. This is being done by using a comprehensive approach to revitalization based on the Main Street initiative model known as the four-point approach. The four-point approach involves setting up committees that look at design, promotion and marketing, economic restructuring, and organization.
